Chaos Knights are the Chaos mirror of Imperial Knights: a handful of enormous walkers, no chaff, and a game decided by whether your models are in the right place. The structural constraints are identical — three or four models cannot hold five objectives — and so is the fundamental tension between bigger Knights and more of them.
Where they differ is tone. Chaos Knights lean harder into aggression and into rules that reward destruction and terror, and their War Dogs are generally the more aggressive counterpart to Imperial Armigers.
It is a small, expensive, visually spectacular army that rewards a player who accepts its limitations rather than fighting them.
War Dogs over Titanics, usually. More models means more objectives held, and objective control is what the army lacks rather than damage.
Chaos Knights cannot use the Dreadblades alliance rule — that exists to put War Dogs into other Chaos armies, not to add more to a Knights list.
If you are new to Chaos Knights: Practise the objective game specifically. Chaos Knights players lose by winning fights in the wrong part of the table.
